This is Ann, lives on Rolls Crescent Street. She has been living in Hulme for whole her life. Ann would like to attend community events, she thinks there is not enough advertising of the possible events she could go to. Ann would love to have her children learn about different cultures as the society in Hulme consists of different backgrounds. She’s very close to her neighbours and claims that the people from her area of Hulme are in good relations with each other.

Curtis

This is Curtis, he lives in Hulme almost whole his life, has a close relationship with his neighbours. Curtis mostly attends music events, band nights at the bar near the Garden Community Centre. He does not know much about any other social activities around Hulme. Was very excited to hear about the Apple and Pumpkin day, said he would like to bring his grandchildren to that event and attend many more events that involve activities for children, to be able to spend more time with his grandchildren.

Maria

This is Maria and Alba, they are originally from Spain. They have come to live in Hulme 3 years ago. Both of them have not heard of any social events in the community. If there was an event they would love to go if it is not within their work schedule. Maria and Alba would be both very interested in cultural events to participate and show off their Spanish cuisine. “Everything that involves food is always good” – Maria. Girls are close to their neighbours and think they are very friendly. They would also like to see more events involving children, both of them think they would be very successful, as there are many young families around their neighbourhood.

Helen

This is Helen, she’s not from Hulme but her sister lives in here. Helen attends events in Design Centre and comes to Hulme every day. She would like to attend community events, but they need to be more evidently advertised. Helen knows several ladies including her sister that would definitely be interested in events for children.

“Me and my sister are always excited to attend creative places that involve activities for children.” – Helen
