"You cannot simply put something new into a place. You have to absorb what you see around you, what exists on the land, and then use that knowledge along with contemporary thinking to interpret what you see. "- Tadao Ando
I’m Felix Mulenga a third year student currently studying at the Manchester School of Architecture. I’m originally from Zambia but moved to the UK in 2002 to pursue my aspirations of becoming an Architect. After excelling in secondary school and college studying Construction and the Built Environment, I started studying Architecture in 2012. My architectural inspirations range from Fumihiko Maki to Norman Foster as well as a healthy admiration for the concrete masterpieces of Tadao Ando. I also enjoy the academic side of Architecture as I do a good amount of reading and essay writing as well as analysis of architectures use in forms of media with a specific focus on its use in the medium of animation.
